The Justice Health and Democracy (JHD) Impact Initiative at Harvard University’s Edmond and Lily Safra Center for Ethics (ELSCE) seeks an experienced, flexible and versatile Project Manager to support its team and mission.

Job description

The JHD Project Manager will work independently with minimal supervision in an evolving work environment of multiple and conflicting priorities. This position will oversee the timely organization and workflow of 2-3 impact projects at a time. The incumbent will need to anticipate and resolve problems and provide frequent updates on the status of projects. This role will also work with other staff positions at ELSCE on budget and finance related matters as well as communications and development efforts. The JHD Project Manager will be expected to understand and follow administrative policies and procedures. This role may oversee work of support staff, students, and temps.



Basic qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of project management experience


Additional Qualifications:

Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, Google Suite, PowerPoint, and Monday.com. Five or more years in managing projects from inception to completion. Education credentials may count toward experience. Excellent interpersonal, written, and communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Welcomes feedback for development. Ability to handle complex and confidential information with discretion. Experience in policy – making setting preferred.
